Dela Ensemble

Delan Ensemble is a Persian folk/traditional music band, it has performed in multiple events such as festivals, Nowrooz celebrations, concerts and etc.
Persian music has roots in ancient culture of Iran, the music is completely specific to that area, the music usually starts with slow/meditative/spiritual theme and compounds of some vocal tasnifs (maqams) and ends with some rhythmic and energetic pieces.
The rhythmic part known as rengs in Iran are the ones written to perform along beautiful ancient dances (Kurdish, Iranian, Turkish) and can be a memorable and exciting end to the program.
The instruments are like no other instruments in the world, they are specific to Iran and the music is a specific one which accomodate quarter tones in the music.
Dela ensemble has some original music written by the performers and also some unique and famous pieces which comes from the history of this music in centuries.
